Yeah I kind of have a thing with food.  in fact in eight grade, when I had to make a scrapbook, I made two two page spreads on what I would eat in a dream day of food.

Yep.  I really should eat more salads since its summer, but I just love peaches.  I should do a favorites for food next.

The Glitter On : Elle Woods

Hello,
I was browsing around on my newly transformed blog, when i decided to search "elle", and i was devastated to see "no results on this blog".  Which inspired me to take the time to right a much deserved post on the Queen herself, Elle Woods.

Elle Woods.  Originated by Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde(the movie in 2001).
Actually Amanda Brown created her in her Book Legally Blonde, but Reese was the first to actually portray her.

Moving along to where my obsession began, Legally Blonde-The Musical, go watch it here right now if you haven't seen it, it will change your life.

Laura Bell Bundy portrays Elle in the musical, and does a killer job at least in my mind.

LBB brings all of Elle's greatest qualities to the Broadway stage, or did, it's not on Broadway anymore, but they so totally should bring it back.

Oh yes, the glitter on Elle Woods.

Elle woods is my role model, my hero, my savior.  When i really needed to study for my AP Art History Exam this year I made the following image my screensaver, to remind myself that Elle Woods would study, because she is a determined person who never gives us.

A good decision, yes a good decision on my part, I studied my butt off for that exam.  Here's the link if you need some extra study motivation as well.

Elle Woods is also positive.  She lets a lot of things just bounce off her chest, and not get to her.  And she is rarely mean to others.

Most importantly she keeps true to herself.  Oh, what an amazing woman.

So if you ever feel like you have dug a hole for yourself, just think to yourself what would Elle do? And then take it to the top.  With a smile on your face and your head held high! Oh and pink! Lots of pink.  Not tangerine, because whoever said tangerine was the new pink, was seriously disturbed ;).

Oh my, what a comeback post.  I hope you love Elle as much as I do, because she deserves all the love and admiration she has.  I will now try to post good content on my blog throughout the summer. So until then, snaps to you!

Blog Transformation, Take 2?

Hi Everyone,
I could not be more pleased with the new layout and look to my blog.  I love it!  I feel like it really suits me, and represents me well.  There are still a few small things that i might change, like edit the post title colors or something of that sort.  But all the major work is done.

As you can see I changed a few colors and fonts, and added a sparkly background to the top.  I also added some fun things to the right side.  There you will now be able to find links to my favorite websites and stores of the moment(the idea is that i will change them periodically).  There are also handy dandy little gadgets if you ever feel like subscribing or getting email updates to my posts.  I also hope to add in some fun and pretty pictures to the right side bar as well.

I could not be happier with how well, and smoothly the whole transformation and transition went.  I always go in without a vision, and i always somehow end up with something I love.  Hopefully it will stay that way.  I promise good content coming soon.

Summer 2015!!!

Hi Everyone,
I remember that this blog existed while creating fun things on canva.com(really fun, btw) and realized that I haven't posted in like half a year.  Since during the summer I have a lot more free time, I am going to try to dedicate more of it to this blog.  I also hope to give the blog another makeover soon.

If you are just craving more fun and pretty stuff check out my tumblr : cottondandelion.tumblr.com.  It's titled "The Glitterati" because "Glittery and Glam" didn't look good with the theme.  Glitterati actually means celebrity, and really has no correlation to glitter, sadly.  Unlike this blog, i have been pretty dedicated to my tumblr lately, trying to reblog things on the daily.

Anyways this post is titled "Summer 2015!!!", so on to talk about the fun summer.  Summer should be a time to relax and just have fun.  Unfortunately, i am bombarded with summer hw, SAT's, driver's ed, and college applications.  But no harm, if i just manage to finish everything this should be a fun summer.  So here's my guide to a fun, but manageable summer.

Summer Do's
Watch things you need to watch on youtube, netflix, and TV channels(online streaming).
Do your summer homework, like before summer ends.
Read stuff you actually want to read.
Do creative stuff like maintain your blog.
Crafts & DIY's.
Picnics at the Park and Beach.
Fresh Peach Pie.
Homemade Lemonade.
Catch up on shopping.
Get cute school supplies to motivate yourself for the upcoming school year.
Obtain a driver's permit, so you can start learning to drive.
Try out new forms of excersise.
Maintain excersise forms.
Be a camp counselor(if you have too much energy, seriously its exhausting).
Sleepovers and Movie Nights(Hello! Its summer.)
Clean and Organize your room (can be fun, so make it fun)
Practice what you are supposed to practice.
Bake and Try out new recipes.
Study stuff you want to study.
Tumblr and Pinterest!!! (it works your brain, swearsies)

Summer Don'ts
Spend all summer watching videos online.
Leave all summer hw to the night before or last week.
Become a hermit.
Start a weird sleep cycle(you do eventually have to go back to school)
Daily Pool and Beach Trips(you do still have work to do)
Totally say goodbye to fruits and vegetables(summer fruits are too yummy)
Store-bought everything (come on people, make it yourself, trust me, so much better)


That's an abbreviated version.  Anyways go and have yourself the best summer ever.

Glittery and Glam - The Transformation of "Marshmallows and Sparkles"

Hello!!!!
I have given "marshmallows and sparkles", an updated, more sophisticated look.  I believe that this blog should reflect who I am, and i believe that i have matured, so my blog should too.  I have taken away the full pink background, and settled for pink date backgrounds and a pink title.  The rest of the blog is white and soft gray to give it a modern sleek effect, that is much more sophisticated than my previous pink-out.  One of the biggest changes I have made to the blog is definitely the title.  This blog is no longer called "marshmallows and sparkles", it is now "glittery and glam".  I believe that this new title reflects who i am better than my previous title, which reflected a younger, less mature me.  I hope that you enjoy the new "marshmallows and sparkles", and the makeover it has received.  I will attempt to post more stuff soon.  I look forward to the future with "glittery and glam".
